Racing Queensland Ltd Policies
Racing Queensland Limited makes policies to help it manage the harness racing industry fairly, efficiently and effectively.
Under section 81 of the Racing Act 2002, Racing Queensland Limited must make these policies publicly available.
Consultation drafts of policies allow the wider racing industry to have its say on policies that affect it. Draft policies are publicised for a minimum of 28 days.
Anyone with an interest in racing can make a submission on a draft policy. Submissions should be in writing and reach Racing Queensland Limited before the end of the consultation period for the particular policy.
Exceptional circumstances may require Racing Queenaland Limited to make a policy urgently, without formal consultation with industry.
If this occurs, the interim policy will be reviewed within three months and will not continue after six months unless the usual formal consultation process is undertaken.
